Dr. Bhupendra Kumar Modi received his early education at Scindia School, Gwalior. After obtaining his Engineering degree from Banaras Hindu University, he pursued an MBA at University of Southern California. He subsequently was awarded D. Lit.
Dr. Modi is the founder Chairman of ModiCorp, Modi Holding and Modi Tek, a large, international business group focused on technology. ModiCorp business ventures include some of the world’s best known products and ModiCorp became the first of its kind to bring mobile-phones, switching telephone exchanges, copiers, fax machines, and 3-1/4 floppy drives to the people of India.
Dr. Modi is the Founder and Chairman of the Modi Foundation, which fulfills the social objectives of ModiCorp. Dr. Modi is also the Chairman of the Indian Chapter of Asia Crime Prevention Foundation. He has been nominated by the UN as Coordinator for the Indian Sub-continent for the World Peace Summit of Religious and Spiritual Leaders. In addition, he is the Chairman of Vishwa Hindu Parishad Overseas, Chairman of HinduNet, Inc and Vice President of Maha Bodhi for the Society of India.
Dr. Modi has authored many books, including “Hinduism - The Universal Truth,” “One God,” and “Performance - A Manager’s Challenge.” In recognition of his services to industry and to the cause of universal brotherhood, Dr. Modi has been honored many awards including the British-Japan Friendship Association Award for World Peace, the Outstanding Telecom and Informatic Entrepreneurship Award, the Rajiv Gandhi Peace Unity Award, the Qimpro Platinum Standard, the Udyog Rattan “Man of the Year” award, the Peace Unity Award, and the Escorts Book Award. |
